Founder & Executive Director: Ella Grann
Ella is a high school junior at Rye Neck High School in New York! She created this website to promote scientific learning and engagement among fellow high school students. Since her first experience in elementary school to now, Ella has continued to be interested in scientific research and communication. She enjoys a range of varying science disciplines, specifically the intersection of environmental science and public health. She has been involved with Rye Neck's science research program for three years and has done research on Harmful Algal Blooms and hydrogen peroxide. As the first president of her school's STEM Board, Ella helped organize an Experiment Night to teach elementary school students about science and co-found her school's Science National Honor Society chapter. She wrote a novel about climate change aimed at the middle school level. Outside of science, Ella is interested in musical theater and uses those skills to better explain science.
